• Players competed in Eight best-of-one Rounds, with a Top Cut of 8.

• This was the only major event that utilized the format titled, “15/3”. Players were to construct 60-card decks using only fifteen “Trainer” cards and only three of any one card (instead of the usual four), not counting Basic Energy Cards. This forced players to run more Pokemon and Energy Cards than usual and forced variety in the cards used, due to the 3-max stipulation.
